About Us
- Infant Prodigy Group’s inception in Ghana on May 27, 2008, in Kumasi as an import, export, and distribution company of antiseptic, agro-food, and general merchandise was met with challenges that led to the operational suspension. The company was re-registered on June 27, 2016, after the deactivation of its initial registration, with a branch established in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso on September 14, 2018. Initially operating as wholesalers for locally produced water, drinks, and some imported fruit juice, Infant Prodigy Group faced obstacles in becoming main distributor for established local brands due to existing distribution channels and limited production capacities. The company then shifted focus to acting as sub-wholesalers to main distributors, encountering difficulties such as delayed deliveries, high overhead
costs, and minimal profit margins. This prompted a strategic decision to stop dealing with local manufacturers and transition to importing products independently.
- Beginning with the importation of fruit juice from Morocco
under the brand Valencia in 2018, Infant Prodigy Group later switched to importing Meysu from Turkiye in 2021 due to issues with Valencia’s producers, including poor packaging and lack of partnership engagement. The company's collaboration with Meysu and its sister company Gulsan for confectioneries has been fruitful, leading to plans for expanding their product range to include items like biscuits, spaghetti, vegetable oil, sardine and mackerel, and tomato paste in the short to medium term. With a long-term vision of evolving into an integrated food manufacturing and distribution entity, Infant Prodigy Group prioritizes quality assurance, customer satisfaction, and meticulous product sourcing to meet international standards and uphold the highest quality for its clients.
